Enjoy your breakfast in the morning before continuing your five-day journey along the Nile River by visiting Aswan. Highlights:
Aswan High Dam
Due to its capacity to generate energy and retain flood waters from the Nile River, the magnificent high dam of Aswan was constructed between 1960 and 1970 with the aim of enhancing Egypt’s economy and culture.
The Unfinished Obelisk
The Queen Hatshepsut Unfinished Obelisk (1508–1458 BC) has withstood the test of time and provides a window into the craftsmanship and expertise of the ancient Egyptian masons. It was meant to accompany the Lateran Obelisk at the temple of Karnak’s entrance, but it was damaged in the building process.
Philae Temple
