Hurghada Excursions

Hurghada excursions: Red Sea, desert and the Nile in one day

Hurghada is the busiest resort on Egypt's Red Sea coast, and most of what is worth doing from here falls into three groups: time on the water (snorkelling reefs and Giftun-area islands, introductory scuba dives), time in the Eastern Desert (quad and jeep safaris, horse rides at sunrise or sunset, Bedouin camps), and long day trips to the Nile Valley. Luxor is about four hours by road, so a Luxor day trip means an early pick-up and a late return; Cairo and the Pyramids are best done by a short domestic flight.
