Overview
A boat snorkelling day from Hurghada to the coral reefs off the coast, usually around the Giftun islands area. You are collected from your hotel, taken to the marina and spend the day on the boat with two or three snorkelling stops, time on a sandy beach and lunch on board. Snorkelling gear can be used on the boat; staff in the water help beginners.
The reefs off Hurghada are home to parrotfish, clownfish in anemones, butterflyfish, rays and, with luck, turtles and dolphins. Water is warm enough for swimming all year (around 22°C in winter, 28°C in summer). Non-swimmers can join with a life jacket and stay close to the guide. The marine park fee is charged per person at the marina if not listed in the inclusions below.
