Dendera, around 1 hour 15 minutes north of Luxor, holds the Temple of Hathor, one of the best-preserved temple complexes in Egypt. Its ceilings keep their original blue paint, the rooftop chapels hold a cast of the famous Dendera zodiac, and the crypts show the so-called Dendera light reliefs.
