Luxor Day Tour Visit Dendara and Abydos Temples

With its walls still displaying their full color, Dendara’s Temple of Hathor may be the best preserved in all of Egypt. The deity, known as the Lord of the Underworld, was believed by the ancient Egyptians to be interred at a temple around 135 kilometers from Luxor. The temple, also known as the Seti I temple, was built between King Seti I and King Ramses II.

It is located in Abydos City, in the Sohag Government, 135 kilometers from Luxor and 420 kilometers south of Cairo. Murals depicting the Gods and pharaohs can be seen on the walls of the Osiris Temple in Abydos, one of Egypt’s most finely preserved art styles. Visit the temple honoring the goddess of joy and love, Hathor, in Dendara by continuing on.

At the end of the tour, at 17:00 PM, take a transfer from Dendara, which is situated to the north of Luxor, back to your Luxor hotel.
